Only trees that grow to 30 m in height and have a diameter of 2 m are selected as the raw materials used for producing such exquisite, figured veneer. Second growth trees have a rough single veined structure; late wood also has delicate tangential grain structure which produces beautiful radial streaks.
Walnut has been used for exclusive interior wall panelling, instruments (organs), and furniture since the renaissance, baroque and rococo periods.
